Wow, it is really Monday again!? These weekends just fly by! Hope it was a goodie. Today we’ve got a birthday party moodboard to share with you, a preppy horse and hound first birthday. A picnic at the stables would be ideal, with cardboard baskets of yummy treats and lots of flag bunting in bright colors. We thought frisbees would be such a cute favor too. And don’t forget some apples for the horses!
Hip hip hooray, it’s Milla’s rainbow day! We had such a lovely 2nd birthday celebration for our precious girl, best of all was the joy on her face as she enjoyed her party. Here are a few pics of the bright and happy day!
A special friend asked for some inspiration for her birthday lunch. She sent us a link to this party (an amazing website and an incredible woman if you have a chance to read her story) and was hoping we could help with some ideas along a similar theme. She is a bright, sunny person, so we’ve included lots of yellow, along with some greys and greens for an elegant touch. We love the strips of fabric bunting, and little pot plant favors. Thanks for the request Shelly, hope you and everyone else is inspired by today’s moodboard!
It’s rainbow fever over here as Milla’s party gets closer. We love these rainbow flags, super easy and cheap! We’re planning to use them as cupcake toppers on white icing, so simple and fresh. All you need are a couple of toothpicks and some colored paper, or print your own to match your celebration colors. Then cut out and stick, ta dah!
Almost a year ago to the day we posted the invitation for Miss Milla’s 1st birthday, and we can’t believe how the time has flown! We are now planning her 2nd birthday party, a bright and happy rainbow-colored, Smartie-filled celebration.
For those of you who don’t know, Milla is my daughter (Liesel) and Gitta’s niece and so this is an extra special one to plan and put together. So here is Milla’s second bday invitation. We posted them in rainbow colored envelopes, finished with string, a name tag and the flower “2” sticker on the back (the stickers were printed by Jitterbugs, they are super!) The rainbow ribbons look oh so pretty when they tumble out of the envelope…
On Monday we’re going to post a Rainbow party moodboard, so be sure to come back and check it out. We also thought this invite would be amazing for a wedding, with different paper, and lace instead of ribbon.
We’re going to try it out and will post that version soon!
A short while ago Chanelle asked us to help her with some tshirts and skirts for her little girl’s Princess & Pirate birthday party, we posted a few pics here before we delivered them. Now we can show you this gorgeous photie of the t’s and tutus in action. Gitta made the skirts out of pink tulle, and sewed onto the tshirts the little princess patch which matched the invitations. We love how they look on these two cuties, thanks so much for sharing it with us Chanelle!
A few weeks back we posted the invitation and favors for this Ballerina 3rd birthday. Thanks to our friend Brightgirl Photography (who is also this gorgeous ballerina’s mom) we now have some stunning pics from the party to share with you.
We loved creating such a girlie party, from the tulle table skirt and elegant table setting to the cute ballerina seating cards. We designed place mats for each guest, with a little ballerina and wardrobe to color-in, cut out and play dress up! The photo booth was a cut out of the same adorable legs as the invitations, which the little ones could stand behind and strike a fun pose. Guests were welcomed at a mirror with tutu and ballet shoes, and invited to take a headband or bowtie to go with the ballet outfits they arrived in. Rebecca’s mom and dad made all the delicious treats and the amazing cupcake cake. We served popcorn in delicate cones, and created a sweetie bar filled with pink delights. Don’t you love the milk ‘shooters’ with straws and biscuits!
