Wow, it is really Monday again!? These weekends just fly by! Hope it was a goodie. Today we’ve got a birthday party moodboard to share with you, a preppy horse and hound first birthday. A picnic at the stables would be ideal, with cardboard baskets of yummy treats and lots of flag bunting in bright colors. We thought frisbees would be such a cute favor too. And don’t forget some apples for the horses!
Earlier (make that much earlier) this year, we celebrated a milestone birthday of the matriarch of our family, our Gaga who turned 80! She is so special to us, and her birthday tea was full of love, laughter and lots of pink!
We thought we’d share these “wine glass people” that we made as a place name for each person. We were inspired by these tea bag Royals made as souvenirs for the Royal wedding. They’re a fun and personal way to mark each person’s place. Really cute, don’t you think?
You’re invited to a Bake and Make party! We delivered a stack of these cute personalised invites yesterday. What a lovely theme to work with, we so enjoyed whipping these up. We love the idea of a baking and craft party for young girls and we chose cupcake colours with a fresh and funky pattern to set the tone. The birthday girl was so happy with these, and that’s all we need to make us smile!
We were so excited when a friend of this mom-to-be asked us to design some goodies for a special celebration for her little man who is on his way soon! We loved the colors she chose, clean white with touches of blue and brown. There were lots of fun elements to design, like the baby bingo cards and cupcake wrappers. The advice for mom cards are such a personal touch, and we’re sure they will be very useful and meaningful to her in the months and years to come. Here are a few photos of the happy celebration, and a few of the elements from the kit. You can purchase the entire printable kit on our Etsy store or pop us an email to order the ready-made kit. We love to custom design, so pop us a message if we can help with something unique just for you!
Hola amigos! Today we’re sharing some ideas for a feisty Mexican-inspired fiesta, which we are helping a dear friend to plan. She is celebrating a big birthday at a great beach-side venue and we can’t wait to get going on the stationery and decor. It’s going to be bright, bold and so much fun…Dee, this one’s for you!
All these images are on our Pinterest page.
Hip hip hooray, it’s Milla’s rainbow day! We had such a lovely 2nd birthday celebration for our precious girl, best of all was the joy on her face as she enjoyed her party. Here are a few pics of the bright and happy day!
A special friend asked for some inspiration for her birthday lunch. She sent us a link to this party (an amazing website and an incredible woman if you have a chance to read her story) and was hoping we could help with some ideas along a similar theme. She is a bright, sunny person, so we’ve included lots of yellow, along with some greys and greens for an elegant touch. We love the strips of fabric bunting, and little pot plant favors. Thanks for the request Shelly, hope you and everyone else is inspired by today’s moodboard!
Oh dear, Monday has snuck up on us after a very busy but colorful weekend celebrating family birthdays, so our usual Monday moodboard will be up tommorow (inspiration for a lovely ladies lunch so don’t miss it). Instead, here is a little peak of Milla’s rainbow party from Saturday, such a happy day! We’ll do a full post with lots of photos on Friday.
Hello! On Friday we posted the invitation for Milla’s 2nd birthday party, and today we’re sharing the color-filled moodboard that we’re working with and we hope it inspired you too! We love the mostly white and spot color combos, simple and modern. We’re imagining bunches of balloons, streamers and a Smartie bar. We’re planning to add in brown paper and ribbon, and a few quirky and fun touches that a bunch of 2 year olds will enjoy. You can find all these images and some extras on our Over the Rainbow Pinterest board. Watch this space for party pics soon.
Almost a year ago to the day we posted the invitation for Miss Milla’s 1st birthday, and we can’t believe how the time has flown! We are now planning her 2nd birthday party, a bright and happy rainbow-colored, Smartie-filled celebration.
For those of you who don’t know, Milla is my daughter (Liesel) and Gitta’s niece and so this is an extra special one to plan and put together. So here is Milla’s second bday invitation. We posted them in rainbow colored envelopes, finished with string, a name tag and the flower “2” sticker on the back (the stickers were printed by Jitterbugs, they are super!) The rainbow ribbons look oh so pretty when they tumble out of the envelope…
On Monday we’re going to post a Rainbow party moodboard, so be sure to come back and check it out. We also thought this invite would be amazing for a wedding, with different paper, and lace instead of ribbon.
We’re going to try it out and will post that version soon!
