Moodboard Monday

This week’s moodboard is full of inspiration for a beautiful baby shower.  We’ve just finished the printable kit for this special mom-to-be and just love the different yellows and greys combo.  Her friend who arranged the shower asked for a vintage-inspired feel, with birds, cages and a pram in the design. We’ll post our designs soon, but in the meantime enjoy these gorgeous pics…and have a happy Monday!

Inspiration Item: Egg Box

The humble egg box can be the star attraction at a party or wedding.  We used them for favors at Milla’s Rainbow Party, filled with brightly colored balls of playdough. Add a fun cutter and it makes the perfect take home gift for little ones.

Here are a few more ideas for clever and pretty egg box favors…

A sewing kit could be perfect for a bridal shower (image:blog.jamtin.co.za) or how about some mini cupcakes or other sweet treats for a party or wedding (images:ohdulcescupcakes.com and toriejayne.blogspot.pt).

Come away with me

We have had a super busy 2 weeks, and have had a crash course in juggling business, husbands, home renovating and the little person in our lives!  But we’re still alive and kicking, and are so excited and grateful to have lots of interest in Glee Projects.  To get back into the swing of things, our post today is an invitation we mentioned a while back with our What a Trip! moodboard.  This couple asked us to incorporate their modern travel theme into a simple postcard invitation.  Here are a few pics as we packed and wrapped them ready to deliver…

We created a compass logo, pointing to LOVE – how romantic!  It was printed as a sticker to seal the recycled envelopes.

It was great to work with a bride with such clear vision, and we so enjoyed being part of their wedding journey.  We wish you a lifetime of happy travels together Kelly & Scott!

Inspiration Item: Blue Bottle

We all need things that inspire us and send us off daydreaming…for us, a theme or concept often starts with something that we love, whether it’s an object, font, color or piece of design.  So every now and again we’re going to post an item that inspires us, and share with you a few ways it can be translated into a wedding or party idea.

In an attempt to drink more water, I (Liesel) bought this gorgeous blue bottle to keep on my desk.  The color is so vivid and lovely!  And here are a few ideas using blue bottles, how stunning are these centerpieces in dreamy blues?
